Cosplay Makeup Looks Perfect for Spooky Season
Everyone knows I hate bloody SFX makeup looks (even my scary Halloween costumes aren’t gorey), but spooky season is my time to shine, so I’m not gonna let an aversion to blood stop me! Enter cosplay Halloween costumes.
Who doesn’t love dressing up as their favorite character for Halloween, after all?
I’ll link all the tutorials for each look + the products I used to create them, so you can recreate them for your own cosplay costume this Halloween! Remember to tag me if you do and I’ll share you on my Instagram stories! @debra_jenn

2. Jessica Rabbit
You don’t know how hard it is being a woman looking the way I do.
Honestly, is there anything sexier than a Jessica Rabbit cosplay? Va va voooooom!
Products Used:
- Eyes: I used the Morphe 35P Palette for this, but that’s discontinued (and frankly, not a very good palette, so try the ColourPop Lilac You a Lot palette instead)
- Lips: Stila Stay All Day Lipstick in Fiery
- Face: Maybelline FitMe Foundation
Check out my tutorial on how to block eyebrows for cosplay so you can redraw Jessica Rabbit’s thinner, high-arch eyebrows

3. Barbie
Life in plastic, it’s fantastic.
Products Used:
- Eyes: Morphe 35B Palette (use code GLAMFAM789 to save!)
- ABH Fudge single shadow to draw on lower lashes
- Wet n Wild Breakup Proof Liquid Liner to draw on top lashes
- Lips: NYX Cosmetics lip liner in Fuchsia
- Blush: I used a discontinued Colourpop blush for this look, but I hate their bush formula, so try Jaclyn Hill’s Rouge Affair blush palete instead

4. Kim Possible
What’s the sitch?
Kim Possible is such an easy look to pull off, and she’s perfect for all you natural redheads out there. For the rest of us, you’re gonna need a nice auburn wig to complete the look or you’re gonna have to spend the entire night fielding the “what are you supposed to be?” questions.
Products Used:
- Eyes: ColourPop Stone Cold Fox palette
- Face: Maybelline FitMe Foundation
- JCat Concealer in Custard (use code DEBRAJENN)
- Freckles: Freck OG
- Lips: OFRA Liquid Lipstick in Verona

5. Shego
I am EVIL, have I made myself clear?
What’s better than a Kim Possible cosplay? A Shego cosplay! Well, in my book it is. I love how sarcastic and cynical Shego is… by far the best Disney villain of all time (she’s def the hottest). If you’re looking for a great matching Halloween costume for you and your bestie, Kim Possible and Shego make a great one!
Products Used:
- Eyes: Makeup a Murder Neon Green pigment
- Graphic Eyeliner: Wet n Wild Breakup Proof Liquid Liner
- Body Paint: Mehron Paradise AQ Pro Palette
- Lips: NYX lip liner in Blackberry

6. Ariel the Little Mermaid
Under the sea 🎶
Another perfect Halloween costume for all you redheads out there. Who didn’t love watching The Little Mermaid growing up? But TBH, the last time I watched it, I couldn’t get over the fact she was only 16 when she was obsessing over wanting to marry Prince Eric! No wonder her dad was upset.
Speaking of Prince Eric, Ariel and Prince Eric make the perfect couples costume, and my boyfriend (also named Eric) and I actually did this costume together (and we even dressed up our dog Gizmo as Sebastian the crab!)
Products Used:
- Eyes: Too Faced Cocoa Contour Palette
- Face: Maybelline FitMe Matte & Poreless in 118
- Lips: NYX Lip Liner in Spicy
- Jeffree Star x Shane Dawson Liquid Lipstick in Are You Filming?
See all the products I used to create this Ariel makeup look here.

7. Avatar
Everything is backwards now.
TBH I’ve never seen this movie (crazy, right?). Just never got around to it, I guess. But the characters look so cool, I just had to do it as one of my cosplay makeup looks for Halloween.

- LA Girl White Foundation
- LA Girl White Concealer
- Ben Nye Super White Powder
- Mehron Face Paint Palette

10. Shrek’s Princess Fiona
But I have to be rescued by my true love, not by some ogre and his pet!
Ok, if I’m being honest, I have never felt prettier than when I was dressed up as Princess Fiona from Shrek. I know that’s super weird since she’s literally an ogre, but I was just vibing the lewk, okay?
Products Used:
- Jeffree Star Jawbreaker Palette
- LA Girl White Foundation
- LA Girl White Concealer
- Ben Nye Super White Powder
- Mehron Face Paint Palette
